About Me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), I have been working directly with seniors for many years and have developed a passion for helping. As a geriatric therapist, I understand the unique needs and changes that occur as we age. I offer personalized Geriatric Therapy and Geriatric Consulting services for older adults. Not only do I have experience providing therapy to the senior population, I have also gained invaluable experience regarding resources, placement issues, cognitive therapy, etc. pertinent to the senior population.

I received my bachelor of science in addiction studies and counseling from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. I received my master's degree in social work from St Catherine's/St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN. My approach draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as the biopsychosocial framework, systems theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused skills work.

As a geriatric therapist, I have experience working with common mental health diagnoses such as depression and anxiety and trauma-related disorders. I also have a great deal of experience with neuro-degenerative conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s. For several years, I was a licensed drug and alcohol counselor in Kansas and have an understanding of addiction and the affect that it has on the senior population.
